iPhone 4s Siri: Google and Microsoft Knew This Before?

Iphone 4s technology were known by millions of people . You can see dozens of videos on youtube discussing it. The most interesting part of Iphone 4s is the voice recognition technology. Siri Advantages can not be compared directly with competitors. This is one of the selling points that makes the Iphone 4s superior .

If at first Apple shocked the world with a phenomenal touch screen technology, Apple is now stomping with a new surprise. Siri. Question then arise, does google and microsoft were aware of this before? Do they knew Siri capabilities?


Voice recognition technology has actually been around for a while, but its utilization is limited. Google were use such technology to search engine, google translate, and some others, but not yet integrated. Through Siri, we knew its potential.

My question is, if Google and Microsoft knew this, whether they have started to develop similar technology? Remembering Jobs' quote, "A lot of times, people don't know what they want until you show it to them". That is what in my mind about iPhone, about Siri.
